This is a custom exhibit divided into top and bottom halves in order to illustrate the insertion, and then removal, of sacroiliac joint hardware.rnrnThe top half of the exhibit depicts three steps of the insertion procedure which includes the initial posterior incision, the insertion of a guide wire into the SI joint, and the insertion of the I-fuse implants over the guide wire.rnrnThe bottom half of the exhibit shows the removal of the impinging implant. The first image illustrates how the topmost implant is affecting the L5 nerve root. The final two images show the reopening of the posterior incision and then the topmost bolt being removed from the SI joint.
