This Medical exhibit consists of three large illustrations and three insets on a single exhibit. The exhibit depicts three steps in the progression of the epidural hematoma. This image shows the spine with an epidural hematoma that is beginning to fill the epidural space. The blood is illustrated in a medium red color. Adjacent to this is an enlarged close up axial view of the spinal cord within the spinal canal showing normal anatomy with blood filling the spinal canal. Moderately pressing on cord The third illustration is a sagittal view of the lumbar and lower thoracic spine. This image shows the spine with an epidural hematoma found on .
