This anatomical skull model has an exceptionally high educational value because it facilitates the comparison of the structures visible in the transparent half to those of the bony half. The location of the nasal sinuses can be easily viewed from the outside of the transparent half of the skull, as they are marked in different colors: 1) Maxillary Sinus (yellow), 2) Ethmoidal Cells (orange), 3) Frontal Sinus (green), 4) Sphenoidal Sinus (purple).

The sinuses in the skull as well as the neck and face arteries are also shown in different colors: 1) Sinus Durae Matris (blue), 2) A. Carotis Com., 3) A. Carotis Ext., 4) A. Carotis Int., and 5) the branches of the A. Meningea (red).

One half of the brain illustrates the relative location of the cerebrum and the course of the sinuses. This can also be viewed through the transparent calvarium. The periodontal pockets and tooth roots can be viewed through the transparent jaw. The teeth can be removed for more detailed study, and the mandible is mounted flexibly to allow for the demonstration of masticatory motion. The skull is mounted on a cervical spine and can be disassembled into two calvarium halves: 1) the left half of the base of the skull and the nasal septum, and 2) the complete mandible and a brain half.
