This stock medical exhibit begins with one palmar view of the right hand illustrating a jagged laceration of the right index finger. Also, an inset enlargement of the index finger is included with all skin and subcutaneous tissue removed in this image. This enlargement clearly reveals underlying flexor tendon lacerations.

Next, one intra-operative view of the tendon repair procedure is illustrated. Finally, one additional view of the right hand is included to illustrate permanent impairment. The index finger is shown partially flexed and text indicates that the finger is permanently impaired allowing only 70-75 degrees of flexion rather than the normal 105 degrees.
